“Harmony” Apple Sauce

“Harmony” Apple Sauce

Apples, Apples, Apples! From now right through mid-November these beautiful Goddess fruits are in season in our part of the world. They come in all colors and sizes! We use 5 apples in this recipe for Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. In each Apple, before peeling them, carve with a sharp knife each of these elements. While peeling them, invite that element in. Call to the Earth, in which the tree roots of this apple tree grew. Call to the Air, whose wind its leaves danced in. Call to the Fire, the Sun who gave light to this tree so it might bear fruit. Call to the Water, who this tree drank from to grow strong. Call to the Power of Spirit, that you may always be grateful for these other elements, for without one of them all would be lost. Cut the Apples in half horizontally and reveal the Symbol of the Goddess and the five pointed star. Allow your Apple sauce to cook down into a sweet and spicy treat filled with the energy of all the elements working together in Harmony.
