Our Shop FAQs

Dear Friends,

I wanted to give you some transparency right out of the gate on our FAQs page. Times are hard for the olive oil industry. In the last 12-18 month climate change has taken a toll on many commodity food recourses. This is true for items like coffee, chocolate, grapes for wine and yes, olive oil. Global olive oil production is down by over 60% in parts of the world like Spain, Turkey and Italy. Droughts and fires have decimated groves of olive trees that have been bearing fruit for over a hundred years. Italy is the only place we get our olive oil from and we are committed to ensuring the quality and flavor you have come to expect from Cucina Aurora. We are a small local company with big goals and lots of integrity. This is why we wanted you to know what was happening in our industry. Since early 2022 our costs on olive oil have more then doubled. We made it through the pandemic, surviving supply chain issues, fuel costs fluctuations and glass shortages. But this rising cost in Olive Oil is one we simply can’t accommodate on our own. You may see our prices on olive oil starting to rise due to all of this, you may also see less stock of your favorite flavors from time to time. We apologize! We will do our very best to keep prices affordable and standards high.

Thank you for your support and love! It is people like you, who continue to shop with small businesses like ours that will help us thrive up against this unprecedented climate situation.

Many Blessings
